Jb Summary:

The Cmmunity-Based Emplyment Services (CBES) Emplyment Specialist prvides direct, client-centered emplyment services t individuals facing multiple and cmplex barriers t emplyment. The CBES Emplyment Specialist wrks clsely with participants t assess strengths and needs, develp individualized emplyment plans, and prvide nging supprt t achieve and sustain emplyment. This includes emplyment readiness preparatin, jb search assistance, emplyer engagement, and pst-emplyment fllw-up.

The rle cllabrates with internal teams, emplyers, and cmmunity partners t supprt meaningful emplyment utcmes and ensure crdinated, respnsive service delivery.

Acrss all respnsibilities, the Emplyment Specialist applies an equity lens, ensuring services are inclusive, culturally respnsive, and aligned with Archway Cmmunity Services’ missin, rganizatinal plicies, and CBES funder requirements.

Yur Rle:

Archway’s CBES Emplyment Specialist with Cmmunity Based Emplyment Services cntributes by:

- Supprting clients frm diverse backgrunds, including Indigenus individuals, newcmers, and individuals with disabilities in identifying emplyment gals, skills, and barriers, and wrking cllabratively t develp achievable pathways t emplyment.
- Delivering emplyment readiness supprt, including resume develpment, interview preparatin, jb search strategies, and wrkplace readiness.
- Matching clients t apprpriate emplyment pprtunities based n skills, interests, and readiness.
- Assisting clients transitining int emplyment thrugh regular check-ins and prblem-slving supprt.
- Building and maintaining relatinships with lcal emplyers t identify jb pprtunities fr clients.
- Supprting emplyers in understanding client needs and prmting inclusive hiring practices.
- Cnnecting clients t apprpriate cmmunity resurces and supprts, including husing, incme assistance, mental health, and training pprtunities.

Our Offer

- Wage: $30.00 per hur
- A full-time psitin at 35 hurs per week, availability Mndays t Fridays, frm 8:30 AM t 4:30 PM.
- Temprary until June 01, 2028.

Getting an Interview – yu will be cnsidered if yu have:

- Diplma r degree in Scial Services, Human Services, Career Develpment, r a related field, r equivalent cmbinatin f educatin and experience.
- Minimum 2 years f experience in emplyment services, case management, r a related field.
- Experience wrking with individuals facing multiple barriers (e.g. mental health, drug addictin, hmelessness, physical r mental disabilities) t emplyment is preferred.
- Familiarity with WrkBC r similar emplyment prgrams is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, clean driver’s abstract, and access t a reliable vehicle.

The Jb Requires yu t have:

- Understanding f emplyment services, labur market trends, and jb search strategies.
- Strng interpersnal and relatinship-building skills.
- Ability t supprt individuals with cmplex needs using a client-centered and strengths-based apprach.
- Strng rganizatinal and time management skills.
- Ability t wrk independently and as part f a team.
- Prficiency in case management systems and dcumentatin practices.




- Ability t use Micrsft Office 365 and virtual meeting platfrms.
- Ability fr direct, in-persn cntact with n-site staff and clients; adherence t health and safety prtcls is required.
- Ability t interact with peple in challenging situatins.
- Ability t manage frequent interruptins and efficiently switch tasks.
- The use f a persnal vehicle is required fr prgram-related driving; must be able t be insured accrding t Archway’s transprtatin plicy.
- A satisfactry Criminal Recrds Check is a cnditin f emplyment.
