SUMMARY Event staff is responsible for food and beverage service on staffed events. The individual works in a team environment to set up various functions, serve during the event and tear down the event in a timely and professional manner. Event staff ensures the safety and sanitation procedures for food and liquor service are adhered to before, during and after each event. Event staff presents themselves in a professional manner and works well with clients and team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Food & Beverage Service

1. Obtains cold and hot food items from the kitchen and confirms accuracy of items before loading into van(s). Communicates with event lead or kitchen when items are missing.
2. Confirms with event lead any other items to be loaded into the van(s) for event.
3. Sets up all necessary items onsite for the event as directed by the event lead.
4. Serves the event from start to finish (may include food and/or beverage service) and breaks down the event.
5. Cleans up after the event (this includes tear down at the shop and may require dish washing).
6. Other duties as assigned.

Customer Service
1. Greets and interacts with clients in a hospitable, friendly and professional manner. 2. Communicates with event lead and/or client when a problem is identified in a professional manner.
2. Work as a team member by helping and supporting one another in order to create an over-the-top event and experience for the guest.

Safety and Sanitation
1.



Always uses safe food handling and liquor service procedures.
2. Cleans and sanitizes equipment as required.
3. Returns dishes and service items to the garage (dirty) or equipment areas (clean) in an organized manner.
4. Disposes of food items in compost bin (unless otherwise directed by the event lead).
5. Communicates any repairs required to the vans or service equipment to event lead.
6. Ensure vans are tidy after use, if there is less than half tank of fuel let the Event Lead know.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in food service is an asset.
2. Excellent customer service skills and experience.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Flexible and adaptable.
5. Must be able to withstand standing for lengthy periods of time.
6. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds and balance/carry a serving tray
7. Must be able to work 3 to 12+ hour shifts.
8. Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
9. Valid Driver’s License (not required but preferred).
10. Valid Proserve.

Job Types: Seasonal, Casual, Part-time Pay: From $18.00 per hour
