PPB Analytical Inc. is a leading commercial testing laboratory dedicated to delivering accurate and reliable testing services to our clients in cannabis, natural health product, and environmental industries. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking Analysts in our Chemical Laboratory to support sample analysis.
The successful candidate should have strong hands-on experience operating Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) or Gas Chromatography (GC) equipment and be capable of independently executing routine laboratory testing methods according to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Responsibilities
- Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions, ensuring accuracy and a high quality of work.
- Skillfully operate HPLC or GC instruments (set up methods, run sequences, optimise data collection parameters).
- Perform daily routine maintenance of analytical instruments and troubleshoot elementary issues.
- Prepare solutions/eluents/analytical standards at specified concentrations.
- Train and document the training of Chemistry Laboratory Technicians to perform test methods, formal SOPs, regulations, ISO requirements, and laboratory policies/procedures applicable to area of responsibility.
- Analyze collected data according to SOPs, maintain accurate records, and deliver reliable reports to Quality Assurance (QA) team.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently both independently and as a team leader.
- Strong problem solving and multitasking skills
- Fine motor skills with ability to operate scientific equipment such as analytical balances, mechanical pipettes/syringes, and measurement tools.
- Strong hands-on experience with HPLC and/or GC.
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
