About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to contribute to municipal infrastructure development projects in Kimberley . You will be involved in the planning, design, and implementation of essential public works, including roads, water supply systems, and sanitation networks, directly impacting the community's quality of life. This role requires a commitment to public service, a solid understanding of municipal engineering challenges, and the ability to work collaboratively with local authorities and communities to deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions for the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage the development of municipal infrastructure, such as roads, sidewalks, water reticulation, and sewer systems. Prepare tender documents, specifications, and cost estimates for municipal projects. Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design standards and project schedules.

Conduct site inspections and feasibility studies for new infrastructure initiatives. Liaise with municipal officials,



community representatives, and contractors. Ensure all projects comply with relevant national and local regulations and environmental policies.

Requirements

BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal or public works engineering. Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Candidate Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is preferred. Experience with municipal planning and project management processes. Knowledge of South African municipal standards and tender procedures. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Advantages
