Engtec Consulting Inc located in Mississauga is seeking a detail-oriented candidate to assist with checking field and laboratory testing reports for completeness, accuracy, and basic documentation requirements.
The successful candidate will perform an initial quality check of technician and laboratory reports before they are submitted for review.
Compensation & Work Schedule:
- Pay: $19–$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- Work Week: 40 hours per week (Weekend Work: May be required occasionally during periods of high work volume).
Key Responsibilities:
- Check field and laboratory testing reports for completeness and basic errors.
- Check reports for missing information, inconsistencies, formatting issues, and data-entry errors.
- Check reports against drawings, supporting documentation, photographs, test results, and attachments for completeness and consistency.
- Identify and flag discrepancies or missing information for correction.
- Ensure corrected reports contain the requested information before forwarding them for technical review.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation and project records in accordance with established procedures and checklists.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience with civil construction, materials testing, inspection, or QA/QC documentation is an asset.
- Basic understanding of soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and civil construction testing, along with familiarity with civil engineering drawings, is required.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to identify missing or incorrect information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to handle multiple reports while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
