Claims Specialist – Capital Projects
Location: Burnaby, BC
Contract Role | Pay: $65–75/hr (Inc.) or $53–61/hr (Term)
We're recruiting a Claims Specialist to support claims management, schedule analysis, and dispute resolution across generation, transmission, substation, and civil infrastructure capital projects.
What you'll do:
- Assess entitlement, schedule impacts, and cost implications of contract changes, delays, and claims
- Review baseline/progress schedules for delay risk, critical path impacts, and contract compliance
- Conduct schedule and claims analyses using recognized delay analysis methodologies
- Support negotiations, mediations, and adjudications with reports and analysis
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Contract Managers, Project Controls, and Legal
- Monitor and report on claims exposure and commercial risk
What you need:
- Degree in Engineering,
Construction Management, Business, Law, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or related
- 12+ years in claims management, commercial management, or project controls on major construction/infrastructure projects
- Strong CPM scheduling knowledge and industry-recognized delay analysis methods
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Qualified certifications (an asset)
Pay: $65.00-$75.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
