ABOUT THE SHORT-TERM TEMPORARY CONTRACT CLASS 1 DRIVER POSITION:

Frozen Solid is seeking a Class 1 Driver for a short-term temporary full-time contract position based out of Nisku, Alberta. This is a temporary contract position from November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027, and is intended to provide temporary driving support during this period.

The Class 1 Driver plays a vital role in upholding Frozen Solid's commitment to high-quality, reliable, and on-time deliveries and superior customer satisfaction.

This role is responsible for the secure and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations. Responsibilities involve operating Class 1 vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations, and ensuring the timely and secure delivery of cargo. A strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and reliability is essential in this temporary contract position.

POSITION KEY INFORMATION:

· Location: Nisku, Alberta

· Position type: Short-term temporary full-time contract

· Contract period: November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027

· Work days: Monday to Friday

· Start time: Late-night start time

· End time: Approximately 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

· Shift hours: Approximately 8–10 hours per shift

· Vacation pay: 4% vacation pay will be paid on eligible wages in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- A valid Class 1 driver's license.




- Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as food or dry products.
- Familiarity with using navigation systems.
- Time management skills to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to maintain safety while driving.
- Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean and recent driving record.
- No DUI conviction in the past 7 years.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries.
- Meeting delivery deadlines.
- Performing basic truck maintenance.
- Tracking shipments and deliveries.
- Obtaining client or customer signatures when required.
- Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
- Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
- Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
- Performing other related duties as requested.

HOURLY WAGES · CA$27.97-CA$37.84 per hour
