Canak Industries is looking for a CNC machinist to run CNC lathes and make parts to tight tolerances. Programming and set up abilities are a definite asset. The machines in the shop are Fanuc control. Mostly Haas.

We are looking for the an individual who can work independently but also in a team, is driven and punctual.

Canak Industries is looking to hire a local candidate who can start right away.

Work hours are Mon-Fri from 8:00-4:30. Day shift only.

Apprentices are encouraged to apply!

The successful candidate should know how to use verniers, calipers, micrometers as well as numerous other measuring tools.

Specific Skills
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables,
- Repair machine tools and parts,
- Set up and adjust production machineries/tools,
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance,
- Maintain,



repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments,
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances,
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports,
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers),
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments,
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools,
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
