We’re Beaufort Association for Inclusion in Action. We provide Monday-Friday community inclusion day programs for adults who are neurodiverse, located in downtown Courtenay.
Duties
1. Provides Global and 1:1 support in an active workplace.
2. Participates in assessment, goal setting and program planning such as Personal Service Plans for individuals. Documents and implements the plan. Provides input into the evaluation of the program.
3. Evaluates Participant needs and develops short term plans to meet such needs with the active participation of Participants and their families.
4. Assists Participants to function more independently in the community. Assists Participants with daily life skills, social skills and/or behaviour management. Teaches and assists Participants with activities such as grooming, basic cooking, money management, and shopping. Facilitates physical, recreational, educational, social and vocational activities.
5. Recognizes,
analyzes and deals with potential emergency situations such as Participants’ aggressive behaviour to minimize potential harm to the Participants and/or the public. Reports problems to the supervisor.
6. Administers medication to Participants in accordance with established policy.
7. Ensures health and safety standards are maintained.
8. Performs other related duties as required.
Experience
Education and Knowledge
Diploma in a related human / social service field
Training and Experience
One (1) year recent related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Pay: From $26.72 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
