Community Support Worker Part-Time (32.5 h/week)
Location: Richmond, BC
Salary: $27.53 to $28.46 per hour
Work Hours: 09:00-15:30 Monday-Friday -Start/End times may be slightly earlier as needed.
This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities to experience improved quality of life, social inclusion, and achieve individual goals.
YOUR IMPACT
- Provide direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities, including people with complex and/or challenging behaviors or support needs.
- Establish respectful relationships with individuals which promote their dignity and well-being.
- Support individuals to achieve goals based on their own choice, beliefs and desires.
- Encourage individuals to build connections; to live self-determined lives in the community surrounded by friends and family.
YOUR CAPABILITIES
- Relevant post-secondary education in related field and at least six months experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in a similar setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization.
- Reliable problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Approved Criminal Record Check.
- Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 4 preferred, or willingness to obtain).
