POSITION REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a talented designer with strong organizational skills who can produce construction and architectural drawings for our projects. Successful candidates will have strong technical skills and enjoy drawing construction details.
Reporting to the General Manager you would be required to:
Work in a team environment.
Have a University degree or College Diploma from a registered Canadian School of Engineering, Engineering Technology or Architecture.
Create understand Construction and Architectural drawings.
Contribute to visual communications for shop and office processes.
Be a good verbal and written communicator.
There may also be opportunities to participate in other areas of the business such as estimating or project tracking and management.
Skills and experiences in those areas would be appreciated.
The position would be fulltime. Our usual hours of business are 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday. We do offer limited flexibility for daily hours, but the position is based out of our 630 Gunn production facility.
Pay will be hourly or salary, with a base rate to be agreed depending upon level of qualification and experience. We have a benefit plan.
Requirements to be considered for the position:
- Degree or Diploma from an accredited Canadian Engineering or Architectural University or College.
- Knowledge of Construction and Architectural drawing best practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of common architectural software platforms such as AutoCad (required), Revit, 3D Modeling Software, Adobe Creative Cloud, Bluebeam
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to prioritize while managing multiple tasks on the go.
