About the Opportunity micro1 is engaging experienced Corporate Attorneys to contribute legal expertise to a customer project focused on advancing the capabilities of next-generation AI systems. You will apply real-world legal knowledge to complex corporate, transactional, and litigation scenarios, helping create high-quality training data that enables AI models to reason more accurately about legal matters. No prior AI experience is required—your legal expertise is what matters.

Responsibilities

- Analyze complex legal scenarios involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, and corporate law.
- Develop high-fidelity legal datasets for AI training and evaluation.
- Draft, review, and annotate legal documents with accuracy and appropriate legal context.
- Evaluate commercial litigation matters and distill key facts, legal arguments, and issues into structured representations.
- Analyze corporate law questions and provide expert perspectives on established practices and emerging legal developments.
- Collaborate with technical specialists to translate legal reasoning into structured insights for AI model development.
- Identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, and potential gaps in legal materials.
- Review AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy, completeness, and real-world applicability.
- Provide detailed and precise feedback that preserves important legal nuance.
- Contribute to improving the quality, consistency, and reliability of legal AI training data.

Required Qualifications

- J.D. or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Active bar membership or applicable international legal qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing attorney.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: mergers & acquisitions, corporate law,



commercial litigation, capital markets, or private equity.
- Strong experience drafting and reviewing transactional documents or litigation materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex legal information.
- Solid analytical and legal reasoning skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong written communication and collaborative problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Background in computer science or another technical discipline.
- Previous experience working on AI, data annotation, AI evaluation, or related initiatives.
- Experience working with legal technology or technology-enabled legal workflows.
- Broad exposure to corporate transactions, litigation, or financial markets.
- Ability to translate complex legal reasoning into structured, actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of emerging developments affecting corporate and transactional law.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary technical or research teams.

Compensation

- Rate: $140–$350 per hour
- Engagement: Contract

Eligibility

- J.D. or equivalent legal qualification from an accredited institution.
- Active bar membership or international equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional legal experience.
- Experience in corporate, transactional, capital markets, private equity, M&A;, or commercial litigation matters.
