Position: Custodial Technician The team at Granby Meats is looking for another member in our exiting enterprise here in the core of Grand Forks at 222A 72nd Ave. We provide the traditional experience of buying meat from your local butcher in an open and bright retail space along with the extras for the ambitious at home cook, including spices, rubs, bbq equipment, knives, mixes and special treats.

The successful proponent will join the ownership team and the staff serving each other, every customer, and ultimately the community by doing our best at every task and every interaction. We are looking for someone who has the motivation to excel at their role, with a view to personal challenge, growth and opportunity. The proponent will have the discipline to work with focus and efficiency, developing their skills and becoming effective at the close out and custodial work at the shop.

The custodial work forms one of the pillars of the business – a clean and safe environment for food production, for the staff, and for our customers. We are looking for someone with the goal of leading the team of cleaning staff, managing their schedules, refining our procedures, and ensuring the work is done well.

Potential tasks: Equipment cleanup, general cleaning, dish washing, sweeping and mopping, with potential growth areas to customer service and meat preparation.

Position and Hours: Part time, Tuesday to Saturday, 2-8 hours on working days, between 8 am and 8 pm, with paid vacation time. We are offering some flexibility in hours during the day as part of the integrated team.

Timeframe: The position is available immediately with an initial probationary period of six months.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 20.0 per week
