Job Summary
Kingswood Cabinets is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Painter to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing custom cabinetry and millwork products while maintaining high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and safety.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces and materials for painting and coating applications.
- Select, mix, and match paints, stains, and finishes according to specifications.
- Apply paint, finishes, and touch-ups using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Operate and maintain painting, coating, and finishing equipment.
- Measure coating thickness and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
- Inspect completed work for consistency, appearance, and workmanship.
- Monitor finishing processes and identify corrective actions when required.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Follow company safety policies and environmental procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production team members to meet quality and production goals.
Experience
- Previous experience in painting, finishing, cabinetry,
millwork, woodworking, or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of paints, stains, coatings, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to use measuring tools and finishing equipment safely and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valuable organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
