About The Role The McAfee Strategic Analytics team, part of the Analytics & Data Science organization, is expanding its capabilities to enhance data-driven decision-making across a global direct-to-consumer business serving over 400 million customers. This role is pivotal in leading analytics projects that cross business silos and partnering with technical experts to deliver measurable outcomes. As a Data Analyst with a product-owner mindset, you will bridge the gap between raw telemetry data and strategic business actions.

Your responsibilities will include building scalable solutions within Databricks, uncovering root causes that influence marketing performance and product health, and translating complex data into clear narratives for executive leadership. This hybrid position is based in Waterloo, Canada, requiring onsite presence as needed,



with remote work options when not onsite. You will have the opportunity to influence high-level decision-making and gain recognition for your contributions in a energetic and innovative environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis or related fields
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data exploration, transformation, and analysis
- Experience working with large-scale relational and analytical datasets
- Strong understanding of data architecture, including data modeling, data structure design, and data integration
- Ability to ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple sources
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimentation methodologies (Frequentist, Bayesian, A/B testing)
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and documentation standards
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical insights into clear narratives for diverse audiences

Responsibilities

- Drive strategic analytics by moving beyond descriptive reports to diagnostic and predictive analyses
- Proactively identify business variances such as retention drops or funnel leakage, and isolate root causes




- Recommend actionable solutions to leadership based on data insights
- Own end-to-end execution of analytics projects, from problem statement to deployed solutions
- Manage stakeholder relationships, define project requirements, and drive progress with minimal supervision
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines and sandboxes within Databricks (PySpark/SQL) to serve as the organization’s “Single Source of Truth”
- Optimize code for performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Translate complex technical findings into clear, impactful narratives for executive-level presentations
- Champion best practices in data governance, documentation, and data quality assurance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of data excellence and operational transparency
