- Follow all allergy and dietary requirements and provide appropriate substitutions according to established guidelines.
- Set up meal and snack bins with appropriate food, portions, dishes, cups, cutlery, and serving utensils for each classroom.
- Distribute and collect meals and snacks throughout the centre.

- Complete accurate daily temperature logs, cleaning logs, pest control records, and other required documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, food preparation surfaces, storage areas, dishes, and utensils.
- Perform light housekeeping throughout the day, including spot sweeping and mopping, wiping surfaces, waste disposal, and tidying common areas. Professional cleaning services are provided outside of operating hours.
- Provide classroom coverage during staff lunch breaks, supporting educators and maintaining appropriate supervision of children.
- Monitor kitchen and cleaning supplies and communicate inventory needs to Management.
- Report health, safety, food, or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Use technology such as a laptop and iPad to access the catering portal and other communication systems.
- Work collaboratively with educators and Management to maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment.

- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR – Level C prior to the first day of work.
- Up-to-date immunization record and Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check.
- Knowledge of Toronto Public Health and Ontario food safety regulations.
- Experience in a kitchen, food service, or childcare setting is an asset.

- Understanding of allergy management and safe food handling practices.
- Strong organizational, time management, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and complete documentation consistently and truthfully.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Comfortable interacting with and providing classroom coverage for young children.
- Ability to multitask and follow instructions effectively in a busy childcare environment.
