Position: Delivery Driver

Reports to: General Manager The Delivery Driver is responsible for food and beverage service to drop-off clients. The driver ensures the safety and sanitation procedures for food service are adhered to before, during and after each delivery. The Delivery Driver presents themselves in a professional manner and works well with clients and team members. The driver helps to maintain the vans used by the entire team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Food Service

1. Collects service utensils and disposables to be used for various meals and breaks as per the delivery orders.
2. Makes coffee and tea and ensures other beverages (pop, juice, water) orders are filled and ready for delivery.
3. Obtains cold and hot food items from the kitchen and confirms accuracy of orders.
4. Communicates with cooks as required for additional items.
5. Replenishes beverages and disposables as required on the delivery line and in vans.
6. Ensures pick up copies are filled out for any equipment being delivered, put the completed copies on the clipboard on the delivery line.
7. Pick up all equipment listed on pick up copies, inform General Manager of any missing items.

8. Other duties as assigned

Customer Service

1. Greets and interacts with clients in a hospitable, friendly and professional manner.
2. Presents professionally in An Affair to Remember uniform.
3. Sets up food items in an appropriate manner, unwrapping food, service cutlery and disposables for service.
4. Leaves invoice copy with order (unless otherwise indicated)



and confirms pick-up time with client when appropriate.
5. Communicates with client if a delivery delay is imminent.

Safety and Sanitation

1. Cleans and sanitizes carts, equipment and vans as required.
2. Communicates any repairs required to the vans or service equipment to appropriate department.
3. Returns Pick-up dishes and service items to the garage in an organized manner (food items should be disposed of in compost bin).
4. Ensure vans are clean and have at least a half tank of fuel.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. One to two years related experience in food service.
2. Excellent customer service skills and experience.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Versatile and adaptable.
5. Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
6. Must be able to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
7. Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.

8. Valid Driver’s License

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
