We are seeking a motivated and energetic Delivery Driver who is also eager to contribute to shop and yard maintenance and orderliness. This dynamic role involves picking up parts from Vendors while ensuring the inside shop and yard areas are well-maintained, organized, and protected. You will play a vital part in delivering excellent service and supporting the overall operations of our facility.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload items using appropriate moving techniques, including heavy lifting and forklift operation when necessary
- Assist with shop and yard upkeep by organizing inventory, cleaning work areas, and performing routine maintenance tasks
- Conduct safety inspections of vehicles and equipment before each shift to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate pick up schedule and resolve any logistical challenges promptly
- Support warehouse activities such as moving materials or preparing items for shipment as required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or yard maintenance preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a daily basis
- Proficiency in operating forklifts
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, team members, and supervisors
