Join our dynamic dental team as a Level 2 Dental Assistant, where your expertise will help create a positive and efficient environment for patient care. This role is to cover a 1 year maternity leave with the possibility of permanent employment. In this role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality dental treatments, manage patient interactions with professionalism, and ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontics and paediatrics, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterile
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Scan patients using Itero scanner
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Abeldent
- Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices
- Ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with infection control protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level 2 or similar role within a busy dental practice
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Abeldent
- Knowledge of a variety of dental procedures and general dental assisting techniques
- Ability to interpret medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health conditions
- Experience with Itero scanner technology for digital impressions or restorations is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Certification in dental assisting or equivalent credentials required
