We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. This position is for 3 days a week, Friday, Saturday and Monday. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor.
This role involves handling patient scheduling, insurance processing, and maintaining accurate electronic dental records, all while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced dental environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance information and process claims using Maxident software systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic dental records
- Collect payments and explain billing procedures to patients
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing,
and data entry
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations at the front desk
- Handle appointment scheduling and rescheduling efficiently to optimize office flow
Experience
- Prior dental office experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with Maxident software systems
- Experience working as a dental receptionist is advantageous
- Robust knowledge of dental terminology
- Proven ability to manage multi-line phone systems and handle administrative responsibilities with professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data entry
