Scorpio Contracting is looking for a licensed Ontario Master Electrician to serve as the company’s Designated Master Electrician (DME) as we expand our electrical division.
This is primarily a part time supervisory and compliance role. The successful candidate will be registered with the ECRA/ESA as our company’s Designated Master Electrician and will help ensure that all electrical work, permits, inspections and company procedures comply with Ontario regulations and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
Duties
- Act as the company’s Designated Master Electrician
- Assist with the ECRA/ESA Licensed Electrical Contractor application
- Provide oversight of electrical work and safety procedures
- Review projects for compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Assist with ESA notifications, inspections and defect corrections when required
- Maintain proper documentation and licensing compliance
- Provide technical guidance to licensed electricians and apprentices
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Master Electrician licence in good standing
- Eligible to be designated under an Ontario Licensed Electrical Contractor
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Experience with ESA permits and inspections
- Reliable, professional and responsive
- Retired or semi-retired Master Electricians are welcome to apply

Field work is generally not required; however, the DME must be available to provide legitimate supervision, compliance oversight and technical guidance. Compensation is negotiable and may be structured as a monthly salary or part-time employment arrangement, depending on experience and availability.
