Salary: $90,119.25 - $114,145.20 annually
Description:
The Director, Clinical Operations is a senior leadership role within the St. Albert and Sturgeon Primary Care Network (SASPCN), reporting directly to the Executive Director. The Director provides operational oversight to assigned clinical and non-clinical teams, including primary care nurses, mental health nurses, panel coordinators, and pharmacists. They are accountable for service delivery, staff development, resource management, performance monitoring, quality improvement, and reporting.
A key focus of the role is leading organizational projects and initiatives from planning through implementation and evaluation. The Director works collaboratively across the PCN to establish project goals, engage key stakeholders, manage implementation, monitor progress and outcomes, and support the successful adoption of change.
The Director also plays an key role in physician, nurse practitioner, and medical home engagement, building strong relationships with members and with community and health system partners to support the effective delivery of primary care programs and services.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director contributes to organizational planning and decision-making and uses data, performance measures, and stakeholder feedback to inform priorities, evaluate services,
and identify opportunities for improvement in alignment with the SASPCN Business Plan and the Patient's Medical Home model.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Certifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a health discipline that qualifies for registration with a professional regulatory college.
- Current registration in good standing with the applicable professional college or regulatory body is required.
- Certificates in project management and change management are an asset.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ leadership and/or management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring diverse teams of health professionals.
- Track record of effectively leading and managing change initiatives.
- Strong ability to communicate and build relationships and alliances with family physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinic staff.
- Demonstrated understanding of primary care service delivery and the medical home model is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and initiatives from planning through implementation and evaluation, including stakeholder engagement and outcome monitoring.
- Proficiency in managing human, financial, and physical resources within a health service delivery environment.
