Required Shifts:

We are looking to add to our team of amazing dog groomers, but specifically someone who can work in the evenings and weekends:

- Monday - Friday: 3PM to 8:30PM (# of days & start times negotiable, end times is not)
- Saturdays: 8AM to 3PM (required)
- Sundays: 8AM to 1PM (optional)

Note: This role also includes the duty of late night-walking BOARDING dogs during the weekday evenings (Monday to Friday) and Sunday afternoons, after your grooming shift. Applicants will be paid $25 for the walking hour. Groomers do not have to work every day listed above, as number of days working, start times can be negotiated, however closing shift and every Saturday is a must. Should the groomer wish to work Sundays to make more $ - this is an option.

Note 2: From 6:30pm - 8:30pm (+ walks) successful applicant will be working independently.

THIS IS AN EMPLOYEE POSITION AND PAID A % COMMISSION

Duties

- Provide comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Assess each dog’s coat condition, skin health,



and temperament to tailor grooming techniques that ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace by properly sanitizing tools, tubs, and grooming stations after each use
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice
- Handle dogs with patience and care, ensuring their safety during all grooming procedures
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to move or position larger dogs safely within the grooming area
- Build positive relationships with clients through friendly service and professional advice on pet hygiene and care

Requirements

- Proven experience in dog grooming
- Certification from a recognized grooming program or equivalent years of experience
- Ability to use booking software and cash payment machines
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs confidently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or assisting with equipment setup
- Knowledge of different dog breeds’ grooming standards and health considerations
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming results every time
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Passion for animals combined with a caring demeanor that puts pets at ease during grooming sessions

Pay: From $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
