Responsibilities
- Safely operate DZ class trucks for local or regional freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring cargo is secure and undamaged
- Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment, performing basic automotive repairs or reporting maintenance needs promptly
- Verify shipment documentation, ensuring accurate delivery and pickup of freight items
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff,
and clients to coordinate schedules and resolve issues swiftly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during loading, unloading, or transit
Requirements
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, operate machinery, and work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking and freight handling
