The Opportunity

As the Engineering Project Manager, you’ll lead engineering and capital projects that support the growth, reliability, safety, and performance of Pure Environmental’s facilities.

You’ll be responsible for driving projects from early concept and development through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational handover. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Operations, HSE, Regulatory, Finance, contractors, consultants, and field teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on project leadership role.



We’re looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, understands how engineering decisions translate into real-world construction and operations, and can bring people together to get work done.

You’ll need to be comfortable getting into the details when required, while maintaining a clear view of the overall project objectives, schedule, budget, and risks.

What You’ll Do

- Lead engineering and capital projects from concept through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational handover.
- Own project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, quality, and overall execution.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other project partners.
- Ensure engineering deliverables align with project objectives, regulatory requirements, constructability, operability, cost, and schedule.
- Monitor project progress and financial performance, proactively identifying and addressing risks, issues, changes, and schedule or cost impacts.
- Coordinate procurement, contractor execution, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities to ensure projects are delivered safely and effectively.
- Work closely with Operations and field teams to ensure engineering solutions are practical, maintainable, and aligned with operational requirements.
- Lead the resolution of technical and operational challenges, working with engineering and field personnel to develop practical solutions.
- Manage project changes and Management of Change (MOC) activities where required.
- Maintain clear project documentation, reporting, KPIs, and communication with leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support facility reliability, optimization, expansion, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and HSE expectations.

What Makes You a Great Fit

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical,



Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated experience leading or delivering engineering, capital, industrial, infrastructure, energy, environmental, or construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage projects through multiple phases, from concept and engineering through construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
- Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, procurement, contractors, and project reporting.
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to work effectively with engineers, contractors, field personnel, and operations teams.
- Ability to understand technical details and engineering deliverables while maintaining focus on overall project objectives.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership, make decisions, solve problems, and drive projects forward.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Comfortable working both in the field and in an office environment.
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Practical, results-oriented approach to project execution.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring incident- and injury-free working conditions.

What Helps (But Isn’t Required)

- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with APEGA.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification.
- Experience in energy, environmental services, industrial facilities, construction, infrastructure, or resource development.
- Experience managing engineering consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, and other external project partners.
- Experience with procurement, contract administration, cost control, and project forecasting.
- Experience with Management of Change (MOC), asset integrity, reliability, maintenance, or facility optimization programs.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Power BI, or similar project management and reporting systems.
- Experience with regulatory permitting and compliance within an industrial or environmental setting.

Pay: $105,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
