Overview
This position is open to someone with experience in Testing, adjusting and balancing or an entry level technician.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interpret mechanical drawings and specs for ventilation and hydronic TAB.
- Test HVAC systems using industry specific calibrated instruments, to collect and interpret data.
- Make system adjustments to ensure performance.
- Prepare report which summarizes the TAB notes of collected data during TAB work.
- The use of ladders, aerial platforms are often required to complete the task of TAB.
- Must have working at heights and WHIMIS certificates prior to starting on site.
- Ability to travel regularly with the occasional overnight stays for some projects.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Post- secondary diploma in HVAC systems or equivalent work experience.
- Mathematical proficiency is a necessity.
- Comfortable using Excel and PDF
- Ability to review and understand mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Very positive mechanical amplitude in using hand tools.
- Maintain a valid G-drivers license.
Working Conditions:
- Commercial, industrial and residential buildings.
- Working conditions may vary from inside to outside and can be exposed to rain, snow, heat, or cold.
- A variety of physical demands are required to complete the work on site: climbing ladders, access roofs, open ceiling tiles, use aerial platforms etc.
- Able to lift, move, and carry equipment.
