Maple Trails Boarding Kennel is looking for a talented, dependable and customer-focused groomer to offer professional grooming services at our established dog daycare and boarding facility.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Previous professional dog-grooming experience
- Strong bathing, brushing, clipping, scissoring, nail-trimming and breed-specific grooming skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A patient and compassionate approach with dogs
- Confidence handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments
- The ability to work independently and manage appointments efficiently
- Dependability, professionalism and attention to detail
- A commitment to maintaining a clean, organized and sanitary grooming area




- Your own professional grooming tools and equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Consult with customers about their dog’s grooming needs and desired style
- Safely complete bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming and nail services
- Identify and communicate coat, skin or behavioural concerns to customers
- Maintain accurate appointment and service information
- Keep the grooming area and equipment clean and sanitized
- Provide a friendly, positive experience for every customer and dog
- Represent Maple Trails Boarding Kennel professionally

COMPENSATION

50% commission on completed grooming services, plus 100% of tips. Final compensation and working arrangement may be discussed based on experience, qualifications and the equipment provided by the successful candidate.

Pay: $17.95-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
