Job Summary

AJ’s One Stop Construction is looking for an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and can complete finishing work to a high standard. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have 3–5 years of relevant carpentry/construction experience, particularly in residential renovations and finishing.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute accurate finish carpentry tasks.
- Install cabinetry, molding, trim, doors, windows, and other woodwork with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform drywall installation, taping, sanding, and finishing to prepare surfaces for painting or further finishing.
- Apply construction painting techniques to enhance surfaces and protect materials from environmental damage.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Conduct masonry work such as tile laying and siding installation; perform heavy lifting when required for material handling.
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures using carpentry and masonry skills.
- Measure materials accurately for flooring installation, cabinetry assembly, or other finish carpentry tasks.




- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects within specifications.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a finish carpenter with a strong portfolio demonstrating craftsmanship in residential or commercial projects.
- Install interior doors, casing, baseboards and trim
- Complete finishing and detail carpentry
- Install cabinets, vanities and other finish components
- Complete flooring and other renovation-related carpentry as required
- Perform accurate measuring, cutting and installation
- Identify and correct deficiencies before considering a job complete
- Work independently when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work respectfully in clients’ homes and occupied spaces
- Assist with other residential renovation work as needed
- Experience with construction, painting, and handyman tasks is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely; excellent attention to detail is essential.
