Industrial Painter Opportunities
Location: Alberta & Saskatchewan – Various Project Locations
Employer: Union Signatory Contractors (IUPAT District Council 17)
Wage:
Alberta: Up to $49.20/hour Journeyperson rate
Saskatchewan: Up to $41.38/hour Journeyperson rate
Posted rates are Journeyperson rates. Starting classification and wage will be based on experience, qualifications, and certification. To receive the Journeyperson rate, proof of Journeyperson certification must be provided.
Experienced Industrial Painters Wanted
IUPAT District Council 17 signatory contractors are actively looking for experienced Industrial Painters in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Opportunities may include local work, out-of-town assignments, camp work, turnaround projects, shutdowns, and LOA positions depending on the contractor and project requirements.
We are looking for skilled painters with solid industrial experience who are committed to safety, quality workmanship, and working as part of a professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial coating and painting work on a variety of industrial projects
- Complete surface preparation including abrasive blasting, power tool cleaning, coating removal, and related activities
- Apply industrial coatings in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and quality standards
- Maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards on site
- Complete required project documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Follow all site, contractor,
and client safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Extensive industrial painting experience is required
- Experience with industrial coatings, abrasive blasting operations, and protective coating systems
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Ability to pass Alcohol & Drug testing requirements where required by the site or client
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions
- Relevant safety certifications such as CSTS, CSO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, H2S Alive, etc. are considered assets
