Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 / year + Health Benefits

Start Date: October 1, 2026 (includes paid mandatory onboarding training prior to start date)

Role Overview

As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will maintain both the exterior grounds and interior common areas of your assigned commercial property in Saanich, and act as the primary on-site liaison with the property manager — maintaining quality control and representing BioVera every day.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities1. Litter & Waste Management

- Daily litter pickup across all exterior grounds, landscape beds, curbs, gutters, wheel stops, and parking islands.
- Empty and reline exterior waste receptacles.

1. Sweeping & Cleaning

- Sweep and maintain customer surface parking lots, sidewalks, customer access routes, pedestrian walkways, and service/loading areas.

1. Surface Maintenance

- Spot-clean concrete and hard surfaces to remove gum, bird droppings, oil/grease, mud, and stains.
- Spot-clean exterior doors, frames, and entrance glazing.

1. Interior Common Areas — Hallways & Entrances

- Sweep, mop,



and vacuum floors.
- Clean doors, frames, baseboards, and interior/exterior entrance glazing.
- Service entrances.

1. Commercial Elevator

- Clean and sanitize floors, walls, panels, doors, and high-touch points.

1. Wall Light Boxes & Patio Doors

- Clean common area wall light boxes weekly.
- Clean patio glass doors and windows (28 total) weekly or as directed.

1. Commercial Garbage Rooms — Daily Care

- Sweep, clean, sanitize, and deodorize garbage room floors, walls, and surrounding waste storage areas.
- Remove loose refuse, cardboard, and debris.

1. Weekly Pressure Washing

- Pressure wash garbage room floors and walls.
- Pressure wash four (4) 4-yard garbage bins (inside and out) and four (4) wheelie bins (inside and out).

1. Exterior Pressure Washing

- Pressure wash exterior hard surfaces, sidewalks, and entrances weekly or as directed.

1. Spot Cleaning

- Gum, stains, and mud removal as required.

1. Equipment Care

- Safe operation and maintenance of site equipment (backpack leaf blowers, pressure washers, hand tools).

1. Daily Logs & Weekly Reporting

- Maintain daily service logs.
- Send weekly digital reports to the property manager containing logs, before/after photos, and observed property deficiencies.

1. On-Site Liaison & Trade Coordination

- Direct daily contact with the property manager regarding site status, priorities, operational updates, and quality control.




- Act as the on-site point of contact to coordinate access and scheduling with external contractors and trades.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

- Location: Candidates living in or near Saanich / Greater Victoria will receive priority.
- Availability: Must be available to work either Saturday or Sunday as part of the regular weekly schedule.
- Communication: Functional or basic English communication skills (written and spoken) to complete simple daily logs and understand basic safety instructions. Newcomers to Canada and English learners are welcome and encouraged to apply!
- Driver's Licence: Valid Driver's Licence required.
- Physical Capability: Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, stand/walk for extended periods, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
