As a Research Engineer Test Pilot with the NRC's Flight Research Laboratory, you will engage in a variety of aerodynamic projects, serving as pilot-in-command on complex flight evaluations. This role is integral to advancing Canada’s defence and aerospace industries through creative research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct research flights across diverse aircraft platforms • Lead airborne research and technological advancement projects • Provide expert piloting and project guidance • Develop and report on flight experiment outcomes • Ensure safety and compliance in experimental plans
Requirements: • Minimum 2500 hours as a fixed-wing pilot • Relevant engineering or science degree • Completion of fixed-wing test pilot school coursework • Maintain a valid airline transport pilot license • Ability to obtain secret security clearance
