The Fleet Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key fleet customers. This role focuses on customer acquisition, account growth, solution-based selling, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain solid relationships with fleet decision-makers across key and conquest accounts
Identify and pursue current business opportunities within targeted fleet segments
Create and execute strategic account plans to drive customer growth and market share
Maintain accurate customer records, opportunities, and account plans within the CRM platform
Present the value proposition of Peterbilt to prospective and existing customers
Understand customer business objectives and proactively address operational challenges and pain points
Provide guidance on emissions regulations, economic market conditions, and OEM production capacity
Develop customized transportation solutions that align with customer needs and business goals
Lead pricing negotiations with customers and OEM channel partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
Prepare professional sales proposals, quotations, and RFP submissions for fleet procurement opportunities
Build vehicle specifications and coordinate requirements between customers, manufacturers, engineers, and body builders
Manage chassis orders and vehicle upfit projects from factory order through final customer delivery
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with customer expectations
Build and leverage strategic relationships with OEM representatives, body builders, and external business partners
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and networking functions
Host and engage customers through business development activities
Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial truck, transportation, and/or heavy-duty equipment sectors
Post Secondary degree in Business or a related field is an asset
Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platformsValid driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract
Ability to travel often as a mandatory part of the position
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Solid presentation skills with the ability to confidently lead meetings, boardroom presentations, and virtual discussions
Ability to grow fleet sales into new and existing markets
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other business productivity tools.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities
Financially literate with a solid understanding of accounting and business fundamentals
Forward-thinking mindset with familiarity and proficiency in AI tools and technology considered an asset
High level of customer service. Thorough knowledge of customer service dynamics and processes
Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment
Compensation Rate
$80,000 - $110,000per year+ commission
Salarywill be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level
