Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a quick-paced workplace.

Prior experience in food service or retail is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems, cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction will be an asset to ensure a quality dining experience. The server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, standing for the entirety of their shift, and being able to lift 30lbs.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Must be able to handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas,



tables, and dining spaces
- Address guest inquiries promptly, providing excellent customer service and guest support
- Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hrs per week and can work holidays, peak season times, and weekends as needed.

Skills

- Proficiency with POS systems for order entry and cashiering
- Strong time management and organization skills to handle multiple tables efficiently and correctly
- Experience in food service, restaurant or similar environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to perform basic math for billing and cash handling tasks
- Familiarity with food industry standards, including serving techniques and guest services
- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or retail background is a plus
- Upselling skills to promote menu items effectively
