Tutoring Solutions is seeking a patient, knowledgeable French tutor to support students in French Immersion and Core French programs. We help students build their skills, gain confidence, and feel more comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.

What you’ll do

- Provide individualized French tutoring based on students’ needs and learning goals.
- Support reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and oral communication.
- Help French Immersion students understand assignments and strengthen learning strategies.
- Select appropriate teaching approaches and resources.
- Communicate with parents about student progress and areas for continued practice.
- Coordinate mutually agreeable session times with the families you support.

What we’re looking for

- Solid spoken and written French, with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Experience teaching, tutoring, or working with children and youth.
- A patient, encouraging approach that supports different learning needs.
- Reliability, organization, and clear communication.
- Familiarity with Ontario French Immersion or Core French programs.




- Ability to travel to agreed-upon tutoring locations within your service area if offering in-person sessions.

Ontario Certified Teachers, teacher candidates, French-language postsecondary students, and experienced French tutors are encouraged to apply. Experience supporting students with learning differences is an asset.

About the opportunity

This is an independent contractor opportunity with Tutoring Solutions. Please indicate the grades you are comfortable tutoring, your general availability, and the communities you serve. Student referrals depend on family needs, location, and tutor suitability; a minimum number of hours is not guaranteed.

A signed independent contractor agreement is required before joining our tutor roster.
