As the Frontline Operations Equipment and Tool Coordinator, you will manage the lifecycle of small tools and equipment supporting Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater and Frontline Operations Support. You will coordinate procurement, sourcing, storage, tracking, maintenance, training and recertification activities to promote safety, consistency, accountability and operational readiness across the division. Primary duties include:

- Oversee the full lifecycle of small tools and equipment, including acquisition, storage, deployment, maintenance, recertification, repair and end-of-life disposal.
- Support in maintaining,



tracking and condition records to ensure tools and equipment are available, safe and operationally ready when required by crews.
- Coordinate inspections and the removal of damaged or unsafe tools and equipment from service, including arranging for repair, replacement or retirement.
- Provide lifecycle recommendations and prioritize equipment replacements to support reliability, safety compliance and cost-effective planning.

Source tools and equipment by researching suitable options, reviewing technical specifications and availability, and coordinating contracts and purchase orders in accordance with The City's procurement requirements.

- Work with approved vendors and suppliers to clarify requirements, confirm pricing, coordinate delivery timelines and resolve warranty, defect and recertification issues.
- Deliver tool orientation and safe-use guidance, and coach employees on check-in and check-out procedures, documentation requirements and recertification requirements.
Support operational readiness and consistency across workgroups by coordinating access to appropriate tools, standardizing equipment where appropriate and identifying opportunities to improve inventory processes.

- Qualifications

- A completed 1-year certificate in Business Administration,



Supply Chain Management or Occupational Health and Safety, or a Journeyperson certification, and at least 5 years of related experience; OR
- A completed 2-year diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, and at least 3 years of related experience.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalency) with no more than 6 demerits OR a Class 5 Graduated Driver's License (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits, and no current charges or suspension pending is required.
- Success in this position requires strong communication, planning and organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resolve problems, and work independently in both office and operational environments.

Working Conditions: This position works in an office environment with field visits. Pre-employment Requirements

- Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit .
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

- Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $39.00 - 52.14 per hour
- Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
- Days of work: This position works a 5-day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
