Become a vital team member as a Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician in Nelson, B.C. This relief position focuses on crisis response and collaboration with local authorities.

As part of the interdisciplinary team at the Nelson Health Centre, you will engage in direct crisis intervention and provide mental health services. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a deep understanding of mental health issues, concurrent disorders, and the needs of Indigenous populations. You should bring strong assessment skills and a commitment to fostering collaborative relationships in the community.

Key Responsibilities:



• Offer crisis assessment and intervention services • Coordinate with RCMP and local services for support • Implement short-term treatment plans for individuals • Provide case management and follow-up care • Utilize diverse treatment modalities for clients

Requirements: • Experience in mental health counselling and group facilitation • Solid knowledge of concurrent disorders • Experience with Indigenous community engagement • Ability to work independently with limited supervision • Participation in training and development programs
