Huron East Animal Hospital, located in Kitchener, Ontario, is seeking a full time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team. We are a team that values long-term and close relationships with both our patients and clients by striving to promote preventative health care and routine surgical procedures for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and rats.

- Ability to lift 30 pounds without assistance
- Understanding of basic computer skills
- Knowledge of Ezyvet would be preferred, however willing to train the right candidate
- Completed training in an OAVT- accredited program. Recent graduates working towards their VTNE are welcome to apply.

We offer in house diagnostic equipment such as Hands Free Digital Radiographs, Idexx Blood and Urine Analyzers and Imagyst fecal analyzer. Some duties that are required include but are not limited to:
- Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
- Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests




- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian
- Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Counsel clients on animal health care, nutrition, end of life, etc
- Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery
- Provide wound and bandage care
- Answer phones and schedule appointments as necessary
- Maintain hospital inventory, supplies and medications
