This temporary full time position under the Botany Curator involves processing and digitizing herbarium specimens, mainly those from Canadian National Parks. Candidates should have experience in databasing, photography, and preventive conservation. You will coordinate workflows and act as a contact point for data issues, promoting collaboration in a diverse work setting.
Key Responsibilities: • Digitize high-priority herbarium specimens • Coordinate data flows into collection systems • Address daily workflow challenges • Handle, repair, and mount specimens • Work in partnership with diverse team members
Requirements: • Post-secondary degree in Sciences or related field • Experience in digital file management and databasing • Familiarity with natural history specimen processing • Collaborative work experience • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
