If you're energized by helping individual students discover their voice as writers and readers, this is your role. We're seeking English educators who want complete flexibility—set your own schedule, choose your student load, and teach remotely from anywhere. What You'll Do

- Deliver One-on-One English Instruction: Provide personalized tutoring in literature, reading comprehension, writing, and literary analysis—from foundational skills through advanced essay work and critical thinking
- Assess & Customize: Quickly identify each student's strengths and learning gaps, then build targeted lessons that create genuine understanding
- Spark Genuine Interest: Help students connect with texts, develop confidence as readers, and discover their authentic voice as writers
- Leverage Digital Tools: Use technology to enhance your lessons—bring literature to life and teach writing techniques in engaging, interactive ways
- Provide Meaningful Feedback: Track progress systematically and give students clear, actionable insights that drive improvement
- Stay Curriculum-Grounded: Align lessons with Ontario Curriculum standards while remaining adaptable to individual learner pathways

Who We're Looking For

- English Expert: Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or related Humanities field
- Experienced Educator: Proven track record teaching or tutoring English at the high school level
- Engaging & Energetic:

- Clear Communicator: Able to explain complex concepts in accessible ways to diverse learners
- Lesson Creator: Comfortable developing thoughtful, comprehensive instructional materials
