Role Description The Guest Service Expert is a full-time, in office role based at Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in Halifax, NS. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, handling check-in and check-out processes, answering questions, and providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions. Day-to-day tasks include responding to guest requests, resolving concerns, processing payments, and ensuring accurate cash handling and documentation.

The Guest Service

Expert works closely with other hotel departments to coordinate services,



maintain a clean and organized front desk area, and support a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. The role requires a professional, friendly approach and a commitment to consistently delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

- Strong Guest Services and Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities for engaging with guests and team members.
- Accurate Cash Handling skills, including processing payments and managing transactions responsibly.
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in a fast-paced, guest-facing workplace.
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or a service-oriented role is an asset.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with reservation or POS systems preferred.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
