Blu Ivy Group

Canada

Blu Ivy Group is looking for an exceptional, hands-on Head of Marketing to build and lead an integrated marketing engine across our advisory business and an emerging proprietary platform.

We work with senior executives and organizations on complex people, leadership, culture and business challenges. As we enter our next stage of growth, we are expanding our advisory presence while bringing a new technology-enabled offering to market.

This is an exciting opportunity for a marketer who knows how to build brand, market authority and commercial momentum around sophisticated ideas and solutions.

We are looking for someone who thinks about marketing as an interconnected system—not a collection of campaigns.

The right person will see how brand, thought leadership, executive visibility, client relationships, digital presence, events, product marketing and commercial activity can reinforce one another and create a powerful growth flywheel.

Platform & Go-to-Market Marketing

- Lead marketing for the launch and commercialization of a new proprietary platform.
- Develop clear positioning, messaging, buyer narratives and use cases.
- Translate a sophisticated offering into simple, compelling stories for senior executive audiences.
- Build launch campaigns, sales materials, presentations, digital experiences and customer communications.
- Partner closely with Product and Sales as the offering evolves and market feedback develops.
- Build awareness and credibility deliberately as the platform moves from launch to growth.
- Help connect the platform to the broader strength and reputation of the Blu Ivy brand.
-

Thought Leadership & Market Authority

- Build Blu Ivy's presence as a distinctive voice on the issues that matter to senior executives.
- Turn our expertise, insights and perspectives into compelling executive thought leadership.
- Shape executive POVs, articles, reports, LinkedIn content, presentations and other priority content.
- Develop a strong editorial strategy across advisory and platform-related themes.
- Identify and secure high-value speaking, media and industry opportunities.
- Direct PR and content partners around stories that strengthen our reputation and commercial priorities.

Brand, Advisory & Integrated Growth

- Build an integrated marketing strategy across Blu Ivy's advisory business and emerging platform.
- Strengthen the Blu Ivy brand and its relevance with senior executive audiences.
- Connect advisory expertise, client insights, thought leadership, events and digital activity into a cohesive marketing flywheel.
- Identify opportunities to turn expertise and client relationships into market visibility, conversations and commercial momentum.
- Ensure the firm's different offerings reinforce rather than compete with one another.
- Protect the quality, consistency and sophistication of the Blu Ivy brand across every touchpoint.

Executive Engagement & Events

- Build a focused calendar of executive breakfasts, dinners, roundtables, working sessions and selected industry events.
- Develop topics and experiences that senior executives genuinely want to participate in.
- Work with the Co-Founder and senior team to identify priority relationships and audiences.
- Own invitations, communications and follow-up strategy while directing external event support.
- Identify speaking and partnership opportunities that put Blu Ivy in the right rooms.

Digital, Content & Communications

- Own the editorial and communications calendar across the firm.
- Direct website, SEO/AEO, social and digital partners.
- Develop thoughtful client and market communications that keep Blu Ivy relevant between engagements.
- Use LinkedIn and other targeted channels to build visibility with the audiences that matter.
- Measure what is creating engagement and continually improve the mix.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will initially be our internal marketing team of one, supported by an established network of specialist freelancers, agencies and vendors.

You will set the strategy and priorities—but you will also write, edit, build presentations, develop briefs, shape events, review creative, analyze performance and get work out the door.

You know when to do the work yourself, when to use technology and AI,

and when to bring in specialist expertise

Who You Are

8–12+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with the capability to independently own a marketing function.

Strategic thinker who genuinely loves execution.

- Exceptional writer, editor and storyteller.
- Strong brand instincts and an understanding of how to build reputation over time.
- Experience marketing sophisticated ideas, expertise or solutions to senior executives.
- Able to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling commercial narratives.
- Comfortable moving between brand, advisory/services marketing and product/platform marketing.
- Strong understanding of thought leadership, executive communications, events, digital and product marketing.
- Highly organized; able to create structure and momentum without a large internal team.
- Comfortable directing agencies, freelancers and specialist vendors.
- Commercially minded and interested in how Marketing contributes to relationships and growth.
- Confident working directly with a Co-Founder and senior leaders.
- Curious, resourceful and comfortable building something that is still evolving.

We would be particularly interested in candidates who have marketed within consulting, qualified services, executive or leadership advisory, human capital/HR, private equity or other expertise-led B2B environments.

Experience with technology or product marketing is valuable, but we are not looking exclusively for a traditional SaaS marketer. We are looking for someone who understands how to build a sophisticated brand, market expertise and ideas, engage executive audiences and bring a new platform to market.

You'll Love This Role If...

- You naturally connect dots and see how marketing activities can reinforce one another.
- You get excited about building a marketing function rather than inheriting one.
- You can spend the morning discussing brand strategy and the afternoon rewriting a presentation.
- You have high standards but don't require a large budget or team to produce excellent work.
- You enjoy working with smart, senior people and aren't intimidated by complex subject matter.
- You want genuine ownership and the opportunity to shape how a business goes to market.
