Responsibilities

We are seeking a Host/Host to join our vibrant team at Chambar Restaurant in Vancouver. This role is essential in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests by providing excellent customer service and managing reservations effectively.

This is an opportunity to be part of a driven, enthusiastic front-of-house team. A minimum of 1 year experience as a Host, Maître D or Guest Relations Manager in a busy restaurant or hotel is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and manage the seating arrangements to ensure an efficient flow of service.
- Handle reservations and walk-in guests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host area.




- Support the restaurant team during peak hours by helping with various tasks as needed.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in guest services or hospitality roles, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with an online reservation system (ex: OpenTable, Tock, Resy, SevenRooms) responding to emails & phones, and recognizing regular clientele.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with reservation systems is an asset but not mandatory.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences.

Schedule flexibility (days and nights) and availability to work Saturdays and Sundays is required. Candidates who are not available to work on BOTH Saturday & Sunday need not apply. Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
