Pay: $25-$35/hourly on average total ($18.25/hour base wage plus an equitable share of tips, split between front of house and kitchen team by hours worked, not just the dining room)

Hello Nori Signature at Park Royal is our full-kitchen flagship: hand rolls, classic maki and oshis, and a hot kitchen built around our kushiyaki grill, all under one roof. It's the most complete version of what Hello Nori does, and the place where our kitchen team builds the widest range of skills.

The Role

As our Hot Line Cook, you train across our hot kitchen program, including our binchotan charcoal grill, where you'll learn kushiyaki technique, the Japanese art of grilling skewered meat, seafood, and vegetables over charcoal, directly from our kitchen leadership.

No experience required. We build this skill with you, station by station, starting from the basics. It's a chance to learn a specialized, respected technique that most cooks in Canada never get properly trained on,



without needing to walk in already knowing it.

What You'll Do

- Learn and execute kushiyaki technique on our binchotan charcoal grill
- Prepare and grill skewered proteins and vegetables to Hello Nori standard
- Prepare other hot kitchen menu items alongside the grill program
- Manage heat, charcoal handling, and station cleanliness
- Follow food, health, and safety standards

What You'll Need

- No experience required. Paid training from day one
- Hot-line or grill experience is an asset, not a requirement
- Comfort working around live fire and high heat for a full shift
- Availability to work during hours of operation, including evenings and weekends
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
