Housekeeping Aide - Casual For 75 years, St. Jude’s Anglican Home has been compassionately caring for older British Columbians. Located near Vancouver’s Cambie corridor, St. Jude’s is a not-for-profit Long-term care home providing Resident focused quality care to 55 seniors.

We are now seeking to the fill the position of Housekeeping Aide - Casual

Under the direction of the Director of Support Services, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for the light to heavy cleaning of resident rooms and all other areas of the facility, as well as distributing personal clothes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. cleans areas such as floors, stairways, walls, windows and walkways by methods of sweeping, spot washing and damp mopping
2. cleans carpets and rugs by methods such as vacuuming and brushing
3. Cleans items such as furniture, ledges, fixtures by methods of dusting and wiping
4. cleans and disinfects washrooms, replenishes such items as soap, paper towels

and toilet paper
1. Empties and cleans waste containers and removes garbage from the building
2. Cleans and disinfects residents rooms and offices
3.



Hangs and removed drapes and bed curtains as required
4. performs other related duties as assigned
5. Attends meetings and inservices as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. minimum Grade 10 education
2. must be able to communicate in English (verbally and written)
3. ability to operate related equipment
4. ability to organize work
5. physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
6. Must be available weekdays, weekends and stat holidays

Wage as per HEU Collective Agreement: $25.82 Availability for Shifts both weekends and weekdays

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $25.82 per hour
