Our client: A leading full-service law firm based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Our client is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of their divisions. This is a senior HR role ideal for a bilingual professional with a background in qualified services or legal environments who thrives at the intersection of strategy, finance, and people management.
Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with division leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Provide strategic support on profitability, pricing, and resource allocation
- Plan and oversee daily division operations, implementing and optimizing processes
- Develop and manage the division's annual budget in collaboration with the finance department
- Produce monthly reporting including workflow metrics and data analysis
- Manage and develop direct reports across the full employee lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, performance management, compensation, development,
and offboarding
- Support long-term planning and assess future resource needs (lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants)
Qualifications and pre-requisites:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, ideally within a professional services firm or law firm
- Full bilingualism in French and English (required)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Aderant and/or Workday is an asset
