Stantec's Power team is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key role in designing and executing substation projects. This position requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, with a strong emphasis on Power Systems, along with a minimum of six years of direct engineering experience. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities: • Execute power flow and short circuit studies for substations • Design layouts, specify equipment,
and prepare schematics • Prepare proposals and estimates for potential projects • Mentor junior engineers and support their qualified growth • Verify construction site conditions through regular visits
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) • Six years of relevant experience in substations • P.Eng registration required • Proficiency using PSSE, PSCAD, and ETAP is a plus • Strong interpersonal skills and multitasking capability
