Join our dynamic team as a Hydrovac Operator, where you'll be at the forefront of excavation and construction projects, utilizing specialized high-pressure water and vacuum technology to safely and efficiently expose underground utilities, clear debris, and assist in various site development tasks. Responsibilities

- Operate hydrovac trucks equipped with high-pressure water jets and vacuum systems to excavate around sensitive underground utilities and structures.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the hydrovac equipment, ensuring all safety features are functional and equipment is well-maintained.
- Follow detailed plans and site instructions to accurately expose utilities or clear material while maintaining safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of work zones, including traffic control measures when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate excavation activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery to keep operations running smoothly.




- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, including work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks.

Skills

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on hydrovac units and other construction machinery.
- Ability to operate construction vehicles including commercial trucks for transportation between sites.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment operation is a plus.
- Skilled in excavation techniques with an emphasis on utility location and protection.
- Experience in paving or grading projects is advantageous for versatile site support.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
