We are looking for an organized, responsive, and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Surrey sales team. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys solving customer problems, working in a fast-paced environment, and managing sales opportunities from the initial inquiry through quotation, order entry, and delivery coordination.

The successful candidate will become an important link between our customers, sales team, purchasing group, and warehouse operations. At Fasteel, customer relationships, order accuracy, response time, and delivery reliability are central to how we compete.

What You Will Do

- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries by telephone and email.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for steel products and related services.
- Follow up on quotations and help convert opportunities into orders.
- Enter and manage customer orders, including product specifications, quantities, dimensions, pricing, customer purchase orders, delivery requirements, and payment terms.
- Confirm product availability and communicate realistic lead times.
- Help customers select appropriate steel products, sizes, and processing services.
- Coordinate customer requirements with purchasing, warehouse, processing, shipping, and accounting personnel.
- Arrange or confirm customer pickups, Fasteel truck deliveries, freight charges, and special delivery instructions.
- Maintain accurate customer contact, shipping, pricing, and order information in the company’s ERP system.
- Review orders carefully for accuracy before material is processed or shipped.
- Support walk-in and cash-sale customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Apply Fasteel’s pricing, freight, credit, and cash-sale policies consistently.
- Follow up on open orders, backorders, delivery commitments,



and customer concerns.
- Develop robust working relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for additional sales.
- Assist purchasing by communicating customer demand, product availability issues, and recurring inventory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to provide dependable coverage and excellent customer service.

Required qualifications

- Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.
- Clear and professional telephone and email communication.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with dimensions, quantities, pricing, and delivery instructions.
- Ability to manage multiple customer requests and competing priorities.
- Strong organizational and follow-up habits.
- Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, weights, and pricing calculations.
- Ability to work effectively with sales, purchasing, warehouse, shipping, and accounting teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and standard office applications.
- Willingness and ability to learn Fasteel’s products, pricing practices, and ERP system.

Preferred qualifications

- Previous inside sales, customer service, order desk, or sales administration experience.
- Experience with different software platforms
- Experience in steel distribution, metal fabrication, construction materials, industrial supply, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Experience preparing quotations and entering sales orders in an ERP or inventory-management system.
- Understanding of freight, customer pickups, processing charges, credit terms, and cash-on-delivery transactions.

Work Location and Hours This position is based at Fasteel’s Surrey facility at 19176 21st Avenue, Surrey, BC, in the Campbell Heights industrial area. Fasteel’s published office and sales business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The successful candidate’s exact daily schedule will be confirmed as part of the employment offer.
