– Intermediate Accountant (Public Practice)

A growing Small to Medium CPA public practice firm practicing for over 18 years in Calgary is inviting you to join its elite team. We are seeking ab Intermediate Accountant with strong expertise in Compilation (preferably with QuickBooks Online) and full-cycle accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with public practice experience to work in a client-focused environment that genuinely invests in its people.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage full-cycle accounting including journal entries and trial balance preparation.
- Preparation and completion of all working papers, adjusting journal entries, and financial statements in accordance with established standards. Must be able to perform this task Independently. Knowledge and Experience in preparation of Review Engagements will be an asset.
- Perform bank, AR, AP, and expense reconciliations
- Prepare and review GST returns
- Work directly with clients, resolve queries, and ensure timely follow-ups
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Tax / Accounting software including Quickbooks Online, SAGE, Intuit Profile.

Requirements

- Minimum 2-3 year Canadian Experience in a Public Practice Accounting Firm is a REQUIREMENT for this position though Training is provided for all aspects of the job.
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office

Schedule

- Monday to Friday, full-time hours
- Office-based role in Calgary

Working Conditions Duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office environment. Mobility demands generally include frequent sitting and occasional standing. Sensory demands generally include keyboarding, computer terminal and telephone operation.
