Intermediate Contracts Administrator

Calgary Alberta Full-time contract 4 – 6 weeks followed by on-call The Intermediate Contracts Administrator manages contracts and subcontracts in accordance with corporate policies, procedures and contractual requirements. This role supports the full contract lifecycle, including procurement, evaluation, negotiation, administration, change management and closeout.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage prime contracts and subcontracts from procurement strategy and tender preparation through administration and closeout.

· Draft, review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts and change proposals.

· Prepare RFTs and responses to customer RFPs and coordinate bid evaluations and subcontractor selection.

· Identify contractual exposure, commercial risks and potential claims and develop mitigation strategies with project and technical teams.

· Lead negotiations for subcontracts and strategic partners.

· Administer contract changes, payment matters and compliance requirements.

· Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure key milestones are achieved.

· Resolve contract and payment disputes in collaboration with contractors and internal teams.

· Analyze contract data and prepare reports and presentations for management and clients.

· Conduct or review contract payment and inventory audits.

· Maintain accurate records in the contract management system.

· Interpret and implement contracting policies and procedures,



recommending improvements where appropriate.

· Provide guidance to staff on contract provisions and requirements.

· Coordinate the renewal of insurance policies.

Qualifications and Attributes

· Minimum seven years of progressive experience in contract formation, negotiation and administration in high-volume or capital project environments (e.g., EPC/EPCM, construction, or energy is an asset).

· Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, Business or a related field combined with relevant contracting experience.

· Robust knowledge of contracting principles, commercial terms and conditions and contract risk.

· Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.

· Sound business and financial judgement with the ability to work independently and across functional teams.

· Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate information for senior management decision making.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Visio
